My Contribution
One of the first things I drafted to this team was a chill elevator track that I had a little too much fun writing, and I was not expecting the team to like it as much as they did. I was able to use a lot of jazz theory and fun orchestration choices that I thought I would never get to do elsewhere. I got to explore different ensembles, write in genres that were completely new to me, and come up with a lot of upbeat tunes that keep the tension high but also add to the cute art style.
I was also faced with a lot of production challenges that I haven't quite experienced before. A lot of my familiarity with mixing comes from next to nothing - orchestral music doesn't really require that much mixing, meanwhile working with different amped up guitars, drum sets, and some synths require a little more focus on mixing than other scores I've worked on. Quick and efficient communication between team members and setting deadlines for certain assets to be finished is what I think helped not only me but the rest of my team stick to a cohesive schedule.
