My Contribution
Let's Make a Game was very interesting to work on- I was drawn in initially by the slice of life style college life theme of the story, and the team that was with me seemed pretty enthusiastic to work on this project as well. Much like my other games I had the opportunity to be the Audio Director/Producer on, I handled most of the communication back and forth with the developers, setting deadlines, and keeping a consistent, up-to-date google doc of all of our assets and tracked who did what and what has been submitted to
One of the biggest challenges of this project was keeping my team on top of deadlines. This was during a semester where I was working on five other games and juggling their project deadlines as well, however I learned a valuable lesson in proper time management and keeping information streamlined via Google Calendar and an unhealthy amount of Google Sheets. My team, however, struggled on reaching the appropriate deadlines and often submitted assets very near the deadline. I learned that when I am in this position, it is best to frequently check up on my team and have them give status reports on their work rather than word of mouth, and communicating that to the developers about the situation at hand, if any arise.
