Tartaglia Boss Battle Theme

From Genshin Impact, Tartaglia's Boss Battle Theme consists of three phases and a transformation phase. I took this as a challenge not only to my ear but also to try and produce this to be as exact as I can to the original recording, making things sound as realistic as I could.

Id (Purpose)

From Fire Emblem: Awakening, Id Purpose plays at the pinnacle of the game, when you're fighting the final boss. Everything you've done up to this point is determined on how well you do during this battle. The urgency, the tension, and the intensity in this iconic theme I absolutely had to transcribe, to study how to accomplish such rich textures and orchestration.

String Theocracy

By the Japanese band Mili, String Theocracy caught my attention by how different it sounds from how their band typically sounds, leaning towards a more big band style orchestration mixed with very witty lyrics. I was able to practice jazz transcribing as well as some big band orchestration.

Ending Theme

From Octopath Traveler, this in my opinion is the pinnacle of orchestral music in video games. I took this as an opportunity to study different textures in orchestration, direct and common tone modulations, as well as my first wide scale project for MIDI editing and producing.

Don't Speak Her Name!

From Fire Emblem: Awakening, a common story motif throughout is sacrifice. In music, this is portrayed as the "Awakening" Motif, apparent in almost every track in the game. At the midway point of the game, this track highlights this motif and the theme about "sacrifice" to a peak.
