This game was such a pleasure and a struggle to work on all at once. Finding a style that fits the very unique gameplay and art was quite the challenge. I realized that after my fourth or fifth draft to the team that my initial approach of having a melodically driven main theme was not going to work, so I took a textured based approach which stuck with the team almost immediately when I sent the draft. I got to explore an area of non-functional harmony that got me more excited than it really should have- having a mediant motion between two minor chords in a non-diatonic setting after a couple revisions soon became the two chords that defined the game.
